Amber Gaze
Acrylic on canvas, this intimate cat portrait pairs dark negative space with luminous, finely layered fur. The close-up composition draws the viewer into the animal’s amber eyes, while soft, expressive brushwork captures both texture and personality with striking warmth and presence.

Art has been my lifelong calling, a journey that began at the age of six in Belarus and has evolved through a lifetime of professional practice. My creative path led me to Israel, where I earned my B.A. in Fine Arts and Philosophy from the University of Haifa—a combination of disciplines that continues to shape the conceptual and reflective nature of my work. My paintings explore the balance between meticulous realism and surrealist elements. Whether I am painting landscapes, still life, animals, or people, my aim is always to stir the soul and provoke thought. My current practice focuses on oils, acrylics, and watercolors, though my artistic background is rich with experience in classical printmaking, including etching, silk-screen, and lithography. Throughout my career, I have presented my work in several solo exhibitions and participated in group shows with the Israel Association of Painters and Sculptors. My pieces have resonated with diverse audiences, with several works held by private individuals in Israel and abroad, including the United States and Germany. For me, every painting is an invitation for the viewer to pause, feel, and wonder.
