Gilad and Spectacles of Memory

Ronen Kaufman

$351

This expressive acrylic on canvas layers portraiture with gestural abstraction, merging bold black linework, translucent turquoise washes, and bursts of yellow and crimson. The tilted central face and sketched figures below create a restless, psychological composition that feels both intimate and theatrical.

Ronen Kaufman

Ronen Kaufman, born in 1966, is an Israeli multidisciplinary artist, entrepreneur, and creator working across painting, street art, graffiti, pop art, sculpture, and community-based public art projects. His artistic journey began following a deeply personal experience of loss โ€” the death of his brother โ€” an event that transformed art into a space for expression, healing, reflection, and renewal. The very first colors he used in his work were those found in his late brotherโ€™s apartment, becoming the starting point of an ongoing personal artistic journey. Over the years, Kaufman developed his artistic practice through formal studies, mentorship with leading artists, independent exploration, and continuous creative experimentation, shaping a distinctive visual language rooted in emotion, color, memory, and human energy. His work combines influences from street art, graffiti, pop art, and mixed media techniques, moving between spontaneous urban energy and deep emotional storytelling. His artistic themes explore memory, identity, hope, pain, human connection, and personal transformation. Alongside his personal artistic practice, Kaufman has initiated and led exhibitions, public art projects, community initiatives, and environmental sculpture projects, driven by a deep belief in the power of art to connect people, inspire emotion, and leave a meaningful impact. Ronen lives and creates in Israel, and his work has been exhibited in Israel and internationally.
