James Dean: Faceless Rebel
In this piece (30X70 cm), Abisdris examines the concept of iconicity through the legendary figure of James Dean. By erasing the subject's facial features, she transforms the "rebel" into a faceless silhouette, a fluid image recognized only through distinct external traits. The work reflects on the overstimulated visual reality of our time and the paradoxes of visibility and authenticity, weaving the visual language of Pop Art into a personal mythology.
Korin Abisdris
Korin Abisdris is an active multidisciplinary artist and a graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design. Her work is frequently exhibited in galleries and art venues both in Israel and internationally. Abisdris’s practice revolves around the self-portrait as a fluid, shifting, and subversive image.
