Open your Door for Me An ancient iron handle, heavy and ornate, guards a wooden door worn by countless touches of time. The wood bears the scars of years — traces of arrivals and departures, of pauses and hesitations before the threshold. This doorway invites and withholds at once, standing between inside and outside, between past and present. The photograph captures the quiet tension of a hand about to reach out — a moment suspended between longing and restraint. It is a gentle plea to the unknown: open the door for me.

Joshua Rosalis (born 1975) Born in Tel Aviv, raised in Be’er Sheva. He earned his Bachelor’s degree at the College of Contemporary Music and Oklahoma City University, and his Master’s degree (MMC) from Oklahoma City University. A street and landscape photographer, Rosalis finds wonder in randomness and creates from an ongoing exploration of identity, memory, and the street and human landscape. His work draws inspiration from urban spaces and from the relationships between personal documentation and social reality.
