Staplings
A work from a series. In these works, I select organic materials from the surrounding environment, everyday elements that bear signs of damage. The meticulous and intentional craftsmanship reveals the duality between repair and destruction. What begins as an attempt to protect and restore unfolds in the imagery as something that also brings about the complete obliteration of the object's original form. Thus, the stitches are not merely a symbol of healing but also represent a forceful intervention that imposes a new change upon the material.
