Two of Diamonds
An original mixed-media drawing created directly on a Two of Diamonds playing card, combining minimalist line work with gestural marks and the printed geometry of the card. The composition explores figure, symbol, and surface through an intimate small-scale format.

I believe in Minimalism, in accuracy, in purification. My work is a comprehensive attempt to isolate the very moment in which action is initial to thought- a quest for the muscle that is engaged prior to cognitive decision. โ I deliberately avoid any figurative marks, allowing the work to always be widely open for self interpretation. My consciousness of being a vessel during the process of work, is what drives this search after the pure Abstract Expressionism.
