ציור שמן על קרטון שמציע מבט פיוטי על יישוב ערבי קטן בלב נוף הררי. משיכות המכחול החופשיות, האור הצהבהב בשמיים והגוונים הירקרקים יוצרים תחושה חיה ורוטטת, כמעט חלומית. זו עבודה עם נוכחות רגשית ברורה, שמחברת בין זיכרון של מקום לבין פרשנות ציורית עשירה.
אברהם היילבוט
אברהם היילבוט ז"ל 1926 -2017 נולד בהמבורג, גרמניה ועלה ארצה כילד עם הוריו בשנת 1938, שנה לפני פרוץ מלחמת העולם השנייה. היה תושב חיפה, נשוי לדוריס ואב לשני בנים. כבר לפני שירתו בצה"ל השתתף בשיעורי אומנות. שירת במלחמת השחרור עד סופה ובמילואים עד שחרורו. למד באולפני הציור בנווה שאנן אצל האומנים החיפאים המפורסמים אברהם ישכיל, מנחם שמי וצבי מאירוביץ'. הושפע בעיקר מהאומנים ישכיל ושמי, וקיבל השראה מאומנים מהזרם האימפרסיוניסטי. בחלק מעבודותיו מוכרת ההשפעה של המפורסמים שביניהם כגון ואן גוך ומאנה. הוא אהב לעשות רישומים בטיולים ברחבי הארץ והעולם ולעבדם לציורי צבע בשמן או אקוורל. לפרנסתו הוא לימד ציור בבתי ספר בחיפה והסביבה והעמיד הרבה תלמידים ובניהם כאלה שקיבלו השראה ראשונית ממנו לאהבת האומנות. היה חבר באגודת הצירים והפסלים, חיפה, והשתתף בתערוכות משותפות. הוא המשיך לצייר עד יומו האחרון. Avraham Heilbut was born in Germany and came on Aliya with his parents in 1938, exactly one year before the outbreak of WWII. He was a resident of Haifa all his life here, married to Doris and father of two sons. He attended art lessons even before his military service during the War of Independence. He served in the Israeli army until discharge from reserve duty. Avraham studied painting with the best painters of that time in Haifa, Avraham Yaskiel, Menachem Shemi and Zvi Meirovitch. Yaskiel and Shemi had a major influence on his style, as had the most famous painters of the impressionist period. In some of his paintings a pronounce influence of artists like Van Gogh and Manet can be noted. He liked to draw sketches on trips in Israel and abroad and use some of them to pain his impressions later in oil and water colors. He made a living teaching art in schools in Haifa and surroundings, and many of his students owe their relationship to art to his lessons. He was a member of Haifa Painters and Sculptors Associations and participated in many group exhibitions. He never stopped painting till his last day.
