פרי אחד. משטח אחד. אדום בוער מאחוריו — ובכל זאת, דבר אינו פשוט כאן. הפומלו יושב בביטחון השקט של משהו שמכיר את משקלו שלו, קליפתו הירוקה העבה מחזיקה בתוכה מתיקות שהעין עדיין אינה יכולה להגיע אליה. להדרים תמיד היה סוג של סמליות: שפע, סבלנות, ההמתנה הארוכה בין פריחה לבשלות. צויר בדיוק מחושב — כל מכחול הוא הכרח, ולא דבר הוא מקרי.
