Flight
"Flight" is an exploration of the boundary between movement and stillness. The minimalist composition, emphasizing the purity of white space, highlights both the monumentality and the fragility of the moment. At the center is a pelican whose wings seem to dissolve into the clean expanse of the paper. The delicate watercolor technique captures the vibration of the air and the weightlessness of the bird, transforming a naturalistic subject into a profound aesthetic statement on freedom. Translucent layers of color and soft transitions create a sense where form is barely held, and movement itself becomes the protagonist. Teaches drawing, inspired by Ronald Searle and the animation of Kovalev & Tatarsky, and also works as a shiatsu therapist.
