Hayim Nifusi was born in Istanbul in 1955. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Commercial Sciences at Marmara University, while also pursuing formal studies in fine arts. Alongside a long professional career in the textile industry, he continued to cultivate a deep and enduring commitment to painting and artistic expression. Strongly influenced by the emotional intensity of Expressionism and inspired by masters such as Henri Matisse and the Pop Art innovations of Roy Lichtenstein, Nifusi developed a distinctive visual language characterized by vivid color relationships, bold graphic elements, spontaneous gesture, and emotional depth. His works often explore the intersection of memory, urban culture, popular imagery, and personal reflection. Working across contemporary figurative and pop-inspired compositions, Hayim Nifusi combines dynamic textures, iconic visual references, and expressive forms with a playful yet sophisticated artistic sensibility.
