Silhouettes
In Silhouettes, two contrasting figures appear—one colorful, vivid, and prominent, the other minimalistic and almost transparent. Their encounter evokes a dialogue between inside and outside, reality and imagination, presence and absence. The dripping, dynamic background colors add another layer of motion and vitality, suggesting that even shadows are never still, but constantly shifting and awakening.
Diana Shariev
My name is Diana Shariev, a self-taught artist and graphic designer. I paint in an abstract cubist/pop art style. I am very influenced by Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Wassily Kandinsky, while also developing my own techniques. In my art I also incorporate Modlink Fast, most of my works are acrylic on canvas or board. I added an epoxy coating to the works, which I think gives a sense of depth and three-dimensionality. I continue to experiment with different materials and thus develop my own language.
