Summer. On the beach

Summer. On the beach

Eugene Kurlandsky

$851

This painting captures a vibrant, sun-drenched scene on the beach — a moment of summer leisure rendered in bold, expressive strokes. The figures, outlined in free, dynamic lines, appear relaxed yet alive with color and movement. The central reclining woman on the lounger becomes the compositional anchor, surrounded by sunlit companions and a red umbrella that vibrates against the blue of the sea and sky. The artist uses spontaneous, sketch-like energy — vivid oranges, magentas, and cobalt blues — to evoke both the heat of the day and the shimmering play of light on sand and skin. Rather than aiming for realism, the work celebrates the sensory and emotional experience of being by the sea: warmth, freedom, and the fleeting beauty of ordinary human moments.
