בציור הזה משכה אותי הניגודיות בין רכות השמיכות לבין הקשיחות הבלתי מתפשרת של הגולגולת. האחת מדברת על חום והגנה, והשנייה על דממה וסופיות. כשהן מונחות זו לצד זו, הן מזכירות עד כמה החיים חולפים – לכל דבר יש את רגעו, וגם הוא עובר.
